Lungi is located on the market square in Rauma. It serves Asian food but unlike its competitor over the street, it has a better name than “Asian Style”. It also has a heated terrace out the back and serves beers and ciders brewed in Laitila just down the road. These are all good things.
My braised pork comes with the belly cut, plenty of soy sauce and pak choi. It is also accompanied by plenty of sticky rice. Elina’s green curry mozzarella pizza shows off the best in Asian fusion. That is to say, it has an Asian twist to an otherwise incredibly cheesy pizza.
The desserts are excellent too. My chocolate cake is pieces of brownie mixed up on a bowl with mint ice cream while Elina’s palm sugar pudding turns out to be crème brûlée (as do many desserts in Finland).
If the food is consistently this good, you could make a strong argument for this being a five out of five.
